Book Review: A Chance for Moonlight

A Chance for Moonlight by Ella Dement is a delightfully charming read.
The lovely, fresh writing style makes it easy to immerse yourself in the story. This is actually a beautiful interweaving of three stories involving three couples and their unique journeys toward love during springtime in Manhattan. As the title hints, hope and romance shimmer throughout.

When Katalin is locked out of her apartment, she finally meets and connects with her intriguing neighbor Joe, a handsome soldier. Thalia and Bram keep love and sparks alive in their marriage, despite their differences. A high-class girl with a troubled past spends time with a gallant ball player from Indiana who loves her enough to do what is best for her, no matter the cost to him.

The dialogue was very well written and natural. Characterization was top-notch, layered with depth. The author did a particularly good job with the male characters, writing them so they were appealing and manly, as well as realistic (sometimes a challenge for us female writers). The intricacies and dynamics of the varied relationships held my interest and kept me reading eagerly.

If you enjoy sweet, clean romance, you will love this touching and inspirational novella.
